Who We Are?

About Me

Born and raised in Washington state I have spent my life fishing, hiking, camping & exploring the area. It’s been 10+ years learning skills & building vehicles to explore the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Along with continuing to build community around my channel I am most excited to get my young family out and exploring alongside me enjoying the beauty & joy only getting out into nature can bring!

Extraordinary Experiences

Due to our friend ADD, I struggled in school, never really absorbing knowledge the way it was taught in the classroom. I honestly thought I was just stupid and incapable of learning.  That was until a rotted out Livingston boat hull required me to acquire a new skill or scrap my dream of boat ownership. I found YouTube and  spent the next couple week researching and repairing in my parents garage. I still have that boat, but man do I need to get rid of it but I’m also stubborn. 

Before I knew Overlanding was a thing I was building out my 1987 Toyota Pickup to live out of while interning on a friends farm. I was working full time during the day, part time on the farm and building the truck in the evening while I slept and lived out of it at the same time. I learned a ton during the experience. I dove into every aspect of the truck nicknamed Old Green Bastard and came to realize I absolutely loved the process of designing and building vehicles needing to provide their own systems of support. 

This is what brought me to creating video content for viewers that like me, learn by visual hands on experience. I am hear to help people cut through some of the unknowns of the Overland or vehicle based adventure niche to get them out on the trail with confidents in themselves and their gear.

At Evergreen Overland we help Overlanders outfit themselves for adventure through gear reviews, tutorials and cooking tasty camp meals to be shared by a fire
